Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse who has current SADU experience to join the Surgical Acute Dependency Unit (SADU) at Frimley Park Hospital. The Surgical ADU cares for patients across a variety of surgical specialties, including Colorectal and Upper GI surgery, Urology, and other specialist services. This diverse caseload offers an excellent opportunity for broad clinical exposure, professional development, and career progression.

You will also be expected to show flexibility, including participation in internal rotation and shift patterns, to support safe and effective patient care.

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care.
• Support surgical teams and ensure patient safety.
• Contribute to education and quality improvement.
• Balance hands‑on clinical duties, communication, leadership, and professional development.

Essential criteria

• Registered General Nurse
• Current NMC Pin

Desirable criteria

• Completed Preceptorship
• NG competency
• Advanced Pain Management
• TPN training and experience

Essential criteria

• Surgical experience post qualification

Desirable criteria

• Current SADU experience
