Neonatal Staff Nurse; Newly Qualified Nurses

Neonatal Unit – Frimley Park Hospital

Our Neonatal Unit consists of 2 Intensive Care, 3 High Dependency, and 11 Special Care cots. We care for babies over 26+6 weeks gestation and stabilize any baby under that gestation for transfer to a tertiary hospital/NICU.

We are looking for an experienced neonatal nurse to support the QIS course in 2024 and provide high‑quality evidence‑based, developmental, and family‑integrated care.

• Provide the highest quality care for babies and their families.
• Assist senior nursing staff in assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of paediatric care for allocated patients from admission to discharge or transfer.
• Assess, prioritise, plan, deliver and evaluate safe, competent, and specialised neonatal family‑centred care throughout the unit.
• Deliver care in intensive, high dependency and special care units under supervision of senior nursing staff.
• Act as an advocate and resource for nursing, medical, and allied professionals to ensure the most appropriate and specialist neonatal nursing care at all times.
• Maintain legible, timely, and complete records in accordance with Trust policy, NMC Code of Conduct, and national guidance.
