Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dermatology Specialist Nurse to join our team on a full‑time basis. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality, specialist care to patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions.
Essential Requirements- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Dermatology Specialist Nurse
- Proven experience in delivering specialist dermatology care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and patient‑centred care skills
- Ability to work independently and manage specialist nurse‑led dermatology clinics
- Experience with phototherapy, patch testing and systemic drug monitoring in dermatology
- Capability to handle patient enquiries via the dermatology helpline
- Strong organisational skills for maintaining accurate clinical records and administrative duties
- Willingness to travel to other sites if required and flexible working hours
- Independently manage and deliver specialist nurse‑led dermatology clinics.
- Provide phototherapy treatments and support services (e.g., narrow band UVB, PUVA).
- Conduct patch testing clinics, ensuring proper application, removal, and patient education.
- Monitor patients receiving systemic dermatology medications, coordinating blood tests and tracking side effects.
- Respond to patient enquiries through the dermatology helpline.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
- Carry out essential administrative duties for the efficient running of the department.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Qualifications: Registered General Nurse, BSc (Hons) degree, minimum 2 years experience as a dermatology nurse.

Qualifications:
Registered with the NMC as a Specialist practitioner in Dermatology. - Experience: Relevant clinical experience within dermatology; managing patients with dermatological conditions.

Experience:
Broad dermatology knowledge, experience delivering education programmes, and working in a similar setting. - Skills & Knowledge: High level of interpersonal and management skills, up‑to‑date knowledge of general nursing, leadership and decision‑making skills, attentive written and verbal communication, empathy towards patients, and competency in basic and advanced computer skills.
- Special Requirements: Working hours are within office hours; flexibility and willingness to travel to another site required.
