Senior Revenue Accountant

Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Location: Frisco, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 6–9 Month Contract-to-Hire

We are looking for a high-caliber Senior Revenue Accountant to join the Pre-Paid Revenue Recognition team for one of the nation’s largest wireless carriers. You will focus on the integrity of high-volume revenue streams, ensuring that pre-paid service and hardware transactions are accounted for accurately under ASC 606. This position is a contract-to-hire track, intended to convert to a permanent role after the initial evaluation period.

• Revenue Accounting: Manage monthly close processes for pre-paid revenue streams, including complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Audit & Compliance: Ensure all revenue activities align with US GAAP and SOX controls; serve as a primary point of contact for audit inquiries.
• Assurance: Perform detailed flux analysis and data validation to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting in a high-transaction environment.
• Technical Research: Assist in evaluating the accounting impact of new product launches, promotions, and service plans.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with the Senior Manager to streamline reporting workflows and improve data integrity between billing systems and the general ledger.

• Experience: 2–3 years of professional accounting experience.
  Big 4 or large Tier-2 Public Accounting experience (Audit or Assurance) is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP
  . Experience with large-scale ERP systems (SAP) is a significant advantage.
• Excel Proficiency: Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions.
• CPA: Not required, but a CPA or CPA candidate is a major plus.
• Attributes: A "self-starter" mentality with the ability to navigate a large, complex corporate structure and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
