Job SummaryResponsible for providing advanced clerical support services to the Support staff. Also responsible for providing daily functional assistance to Support Services Representatives and Support Services Supervisors by being the first line of support for operational concerns and questions.
Responsibilities- Performs various clerical duties such as sorting correspondence, filing, photocopying and scanning, and indexing documents.
- Distributes all incoming department mail and maintains printers; may print, mail and track appeal packets.
- Logs, researches, and works returned checks; reviews for voids, escheats or reissues; resolves accounts on the Unclaimed Property Report (Escheat).
- Assists with follow-up activities related to patient, guarantor and insurance company correspondence and returned refund checks; researches and reviews zero balance accounts with correspondence.
- Prepares and distributes pertinent reports to Manager and Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Intermediate understanding of business service functions including billing, collections, insurance, and appeals.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; excellent listening and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn within a short period of time.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
- Customer Service skills.
- Data entry and 10‑key by touch.

Education / Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3‑5 years business office or related experience.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
- Multiple workstations in close proximity.
