Department Summary

The Enrollment Partnerships Department at UNT builds strategic collaborations with K‑12 schools, community colleges, and other organizations to create clear pathways and pipelines to the university. These partnerships are designed to support student success from early engagement through degree completion, expanding access to higher education and strengthening academic transitions across educational institutions.

Position Overview

The University Transfer Navigator plays a critical role in supporting transfer pathway students throughout the transfer process from community colleges or other institutions into the university. This position provides personalized academic advising, transfer planning, and resource navigation to prospective students, transfer students, and concurrent enrollment students. The navigator collaborates with institutional partners to ensure seamless transitions, promotes student retention and success, and supports institutional goals related to transfer pathways.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of related professional experience in student services, admission, professional academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Strong presentation skills and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
• Good driving record and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Professional in appearance, motivated, self‑directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with prospective students in a positive, courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues, coworkers, and partners.
• Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related professional experience in higher education student services, admission, academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Driver's license required.
