Primary PurposeTo ride the bus and help ensure students are transported safely and efficiently from one location to another.
Reports ToOperations Supervisor Work Year Days
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Complete First Aid and CPR certification class
- Capable of responding calmly in emergency situations
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
- Ability to physically perform a front and back door bus evacuation
- Ability to physically perform CPR and First Aid techniques on the ground or floor
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Ability to maneuver effectively in a school bus
- Ability to walk the equivalent of at least one mile daily
- Ability to pass annual FISD dexterity test
- Flexible and open to schedule change
- Positive and encouraging person who is able to promote a healthy work environment
- Meet the student and assist with safe boarding.
- Seat students using needed restraints.
- Follow all wheel chair guidelines.
- Attend scheduled staff meeting and trainings.
- Report any difficulties or changes in students' needs to the Special Needs Supervisor.
- Observe and assist students during trip.
- Exercise student management through communication and discipline per school policy.
- Must be punctual and have good attendance.
- Maintain a positive relationship with Frisco ISD staff and public.

Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Continual sitting, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm motions. Intermittent walking the equivalent of at least one mile daily. Work outside and inside. Moderate exposure to extreme temperature (hot) and vehicle fumes. Frequent moderate lifting and carrying (up to 30 pounds). Work with frequent interruptions.
