Summary:

The Project Engineer serves as a fully competent professional, experienced in site engineering for retail, industrial, institutional, commercial, and multifamily projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize initial design approaches for major project phases or take overall responsibility for engineering work on projects of limited scope.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate engineering work involving conventional practices, including complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
  • May work as an Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Project Engineer.
  • Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support staff on an as-needed basis.
  • Exercise judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Determine additional information needed from clients and coordinate directly within LJA.
  • Make basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is incomplete.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer or pending registration.
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in Site Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
