Position SummaryThis role supports land development and site design projects, including water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and grading solutions. The Civil Engineer, EIT contributes to conceptual and detailed engineering design, reporting, permitting tasks, and interdisciplinary coordination.
Essential Job Functions- Perform land development and site design engineering, including water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design.
- Support permitting, hydraulic design, storm drain systems, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Conduct site planning and transportation facility design, including highway, street, recreation path, grading, and erosion control components.
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
- Support preparation of engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and appropriate project documentation.
- Evaluate design alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, and cost‑effective manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Project.
- Ability to travel periodically (approximately 15% or more).
- Experience supporting land development or water resources engineering projects.
- Familiarity with permitting processes at local, state, or federal levels.
- Experience preparing design calculations, reports, or cost estimates.
- Ability to conduct occasional fieldwork, including walking on uneven terrain and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods to complete design and documentation tasks.
- Office environment with periodic outdoor site visits in variable weather conditions.
- Moderate noise levels typical of office and light field environments.
- Use of appropriate PPE during field activities as required.
- Full-time role based in Frisco, CO, with periodic travel to project sites.
- Standard Monday‑Friday schedule; flexibility dependent on project needs.
- Hybrid work flexibility may be available based on responsibilities.
- Organization: 200 IEW
Salary Range: $75,000 to $88,000 depending on experience.
