Civil Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment
• Interest in land development and site civil engineering
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Frisco, TX
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Previous Civil Engineering internship or co-op experience
• Experience or academic exposure to AutoCAD or Civil 3D
• Exposure to residential or commercial land development
• Experience with roads, utilities, grading, drainage, site design, or construction plans
• Involvement in engineering organizations, student organizations, leadership activities, athletics, employment, volunteer work, or other extracurricular activities Strong interest in developing into a well-rounded civil engineer with future client-facing responsibilities

• Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join the civil engineering team of one of our clients in Frisco, TX. This individual will support the design and development of commercial and residential land development projects, including master-planned communities, schools, banks, and other commercial developments. This position is open to recent Civil Engineering graduates as well as candidates with several years of professional experience.
  
  The Civil Engineer will work across multiple aspects of land development engineering, including roads, utilities, site infrastructure, engineering calculations, construction plans, and civil design. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build broad land development experience while developing proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Recent graduates are not expected to be advanced Civil 3D users upon joining the team, but familiarity with CAD through coursework, internships, or previous experience is preferred.

• Assist with the design and development of residential and commercial land development projects
• Prepare and modify civil construction plans
• Support the design of roads, utilities, and other site infrastructure
• Perform engineering calculations and design analysis
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop project designs and construction documents
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations and project support
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other internal team members
• Support projects throughout various stages of design and development
• Develop technical knowledge across multiple areas of civil and land development engineering
• Develop the technical and communication skills necessary to take on greater project and client responsibilities as experience increases
