Sterile Processing Technician | Part Time

United Surgical Partners International, Inc

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
  • Certification CRCST through IAHCSMM, or CRSPT through CBSPD required within 6 months of hire.
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands low temperature Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
  • Excellent team player and ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
