Physical Therapist

This PRN position (Frisco, TX) is ideal for an experienced PT (2+ yrs) who thrives with autonomy, enjoys creative, functional treatment, and values collaboration with a dynamic therapist team.

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans; attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, recommend home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, and family members
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted state PT license
• Basic Life Support or CPR certification as required by state regulations
• Preferred:
  Minimum of one year’s PT work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injury
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; patient transfer may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to stand for extended periods
• Physical requirements:
  
  pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently
• Health screen may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter to verify physical capability with or without reasonable accommodations
