We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer – SRE to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in systems administration, cloud computing, and infrastructure as code, with a particular focus on solution engineering/site reliability. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our security posture and streamline processes through automation.

• Develop, implement, and maintain cloud security engineering solutions with a focus on reliability and automation.
• Incident management: respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement post-mortem reviews.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Performance tuning to identify and resolve bottlenecks in systems and applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and Dev Ops to improve security posture and reliability.
• Create clear and comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident reports.
• Design systems with redundancy and fault tolerance to minimize downtime; monitor and maintain SLOs/SLAs.
• Apply security best practices, data encryption, and access control; ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS as relevant).

• Programming and Scripting: Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby; automation scripting and tooling development.
• Systems Administration: Linux/Unix, file systems, processes, and system configurations.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Cloud Computing: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; services like EC2, S3, Kubernetes, serverless functions.
• Containers and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift.
• Networking: DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs.
• Monitoring and Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic; dashboards, alerts, logs.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Circle

• Security Tools: Hashi Corp Vault and Terraform familiarity is a plus.

• Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of program leadership and/or relevant consulting experience.
• Knowledge of and experience with program management framework, knowledge groups & life cycle.
• 5+ years’ experience driving large-scale data center consolidation efforts.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams.
• Proficient with Project Management tools.
