Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mondays and Wednesdays) required onsite at the listed location.
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Max 50 Miles From Austin Texas)
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Understands business objectives, analyzes user requirements, and performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Confers with organizational personnel to analyze current procedures, identify problems, and determine input/output requirements. Writes detailed user needs and program functions. Reviews system capabilities and limitations to assess feasibility of requested changes.
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires an ETL Analyst/Engineer for the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). All work products are property of HHSC and may require criminal background checks. HHSC is developing a data integration hub using agile methodology, including data acquisition, complex SQL scripting, automation with Informatica IICS or Power Center, testing, deployment, and support.

Qualifications:
- Experience developing ETL mappings and workflows with Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
- Experience integrating data from sources like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDFs for visualization in Tableau.
- Designing efficient SQL scripts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Experience with Python scripting for testing and automation.
- Defect tracking and collaboration with development teams.
- Developing test plans and ensuring quality.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or in teams.
- Experience with automation frameworks, AI validation, and observability at scale.
