The Role

Establish a content strategy based on customer personas and journeys. This position is responsible for strategic monitoring, analysis, and reporting of social media conversations to generate actionable insights that inform organic social media strategy, content development, brand reputation management, and competitive intelligence. The ideal candidate is a data‑driven storyteller who turns qualitative social chatter into quantitative business intelligence, with particular emphasis on nuanced platforms like Reddit.

About

The Role
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social listening program using tools such as Talkwalker and Hoot Suite.
  • Monitor and analyze conversations on key social platforms—especially Reddit—to identify trends, sentiment, and emerging narratives related to Thomson Reuters, its competitors, and the industry.
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights, preparing regular intelligence reports and ad‑hoc analyses for marketing leadership, content teams, and other business units.
  • Collaborate with the organic social media team to apply insights to Audience and Engagement Optimization (AEO), shaping content that resonates with target audiences and platform algorithms.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert on social listening tools and methodologies, providing training and support to the broader team.
  • Identify and escalate potential reputational risks or crisis situations discovered through social listening.
  • Track and measure the impact of social listening initiatives on key business objectives.
About You
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a social media or digital marketing role, with at least 2 years focused specifically on social listening, analytics, or insights.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing data from platforms such as Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), and Linked In.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable reports for an executive audience.
  • High proficiency and proven track record in utilizing AI and AI‑based tools.
  • Required:

    Deep understanding of social listening methodologies, sentiment analysis, and trend identification.
  • Preferred:
    Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑level social listening platforms (e.g., Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Sprinklr).
  • Preferred:
    Proficiency with social media management platforms (e.g., Hoot Suite, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.

Base compensation for this role ranges from $56,000 to $104,000 USD, depending on location and experience. Eligible positions may also receive an annual bonus based on enterprise and individual performance.
