Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Open Edge Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications using Progress Open Edge ABL (Advanced Business Language). The developer should have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to understand complex business requirements, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.



Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Progress Open Edge ABL.
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform system analysis, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Integrate Open Edge applications with external systems, databases, and APIs.
• Support application upgrades, patches, and deployments.
• Develop and maintain documentation including technical specifications and user guides.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues as needed.

• Strong hands-on experience with Progress Open Edge ABL (Advanced Business Language).
• Experience with Open Edge 4GL, Web Speed, and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in database design, queries, and stored procedures (Open Edge RDBMS, SQL, etc.).
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
