Overview

We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager to lead the strategy, architecture and development of Mobile Application Foundations, enabling the delivery of multiple mobile applications from a single codebase. This role leads multiple software development teams to build and maintain systems, Mobile App platforms, and tools that support business operations. It manages team performance, technical strategy, and collaboration with organizational partners to deliver Digital software solutions.

This leader will oversee the evolution of tools and platforms that simplify operations, elevate the customer experience, and create frameworks and tools to develop consistent mobile applications across multiple brands. Success is measured by timely delivery, budget adherence, and continuous improvement in development practices. The work impacts organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction through reliable and scalable software products.

This is a hybrid position required to be working in-office at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple mobile software development teams to deliver projects on time and within budget through effective leadership and coaching
  • Define and implement continuous improvement initiatives across technical disciplines, including processes, tooling, and compliance
  • Oversee technical vendor relationships to incorporate feature requests and enhance product functionality
  • Develop and maintain mobile app technical roadmaps in collaboration with design and enterprise architecture teams
  • Recruit and onboard qualified managers and team members to strengthen team capabilities and project delivery
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
  • Partner with Product, UX, Retail, and Business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing transparency on progress, risks, and critical initiatives.
  • Build, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.
  • Inspire teams to adopt modern engineering practices, promote continuous learning, and embrace new technologies.
  • Represent T-Mobile’s engineering leadership within the organization and the broader industry.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience of developing large scale business systems applications.
  • 2-4 years of management experience with programming staff including leadership, planning, and coordination of development work for 4 large projects.
  • More than 10 years of overall IT experience.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio development environment, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office is required
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale mobile application development teams and initiatives in native app development.
  • Deep understanding of mobile OS architectures, API design principles, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • At least 18 years of age
