The position has primary responsibility for first-chair defense of municipalities involving land use taking and civil rights claims, and also for seeking injunctive relief for substandard structures and zoning violations. The position has heavy involvement in federal courts and all courts of appeal.
- Manage and oversee all phases of municipal civil litigation land use cases, from inception through trial and all appeals using a team approach.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.
- Develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients.
