Work location:Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033
Work hours: PRN Days (varied hours) as needed. Weekend and holiday requirements
Department Highlights- Med Surg Unit
- Established Unit based council
- Fast paced, high turnover department that takes post-surgical, telemetry and observation patients
- Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or
- Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref
- 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse Req
- RN
- Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And - BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And - CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And - ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support charge only 90 Days Req - NRP
- Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program if floating to Mother Baby 90 Days Req
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
