Position Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, strong, and detail‐oriented installation technician that can leverage hands‑on experience with hand tools, ladders, and basic assembly for custom window treatment installation.
This role combines installation execution and operational follow‑through to help homeowners and businesses achieve customized solutions for blinds, shades, shutters, and will on average handle (3) appointments per day, manage client communications upon arrival to explain the overview of installation and deliver an exceptional customer experience through a professional installation process.

- Primary objective s for the Installation Technician is to execute the successful installation of custom window coverings in both a residential and commercial setting.
- Products can be manual or automated in which the installer would be responsible for the programming of the product, troubleshooting battery‑operated motorized shades, and working with low‑voltage wiring and 110V plug‑in motorization.
- If issues arise the installer is expected to relay the information and next steps to the client. If necessary they will order replacement products on site.
- Issues are to be documented by the installer to bring back to the office team/design team for follow‑up. Installers are also expected to show the client product cleaning information and leave the clients home better than they found it.
- Review schedule daily & load up job the afternoon before to ensure on‑time arrival for first job.
- Confirm all boxes/parts/tools/accessories are on the van for completion of every installation.
- Comfortable measuring and installing from 3, 6, 12, 20‑foot ladders.
- Respectful of client’s house and time (no shoes and/or shoe covers in house, clean up all trash, ask which room client prefers you start in).
- Ensure window treatments are operating properly multiple times and adjust on each job site.
- Program automated shades through app and remote from various vendors.
- If window treatments are not functioning properly document and report to the office for a remake and a review with the client to let them know the next steps of action.
- If Bluetooth communication is faulty a remake must be processed on‑site with the Hunter Douglas motorization team – record case number and turn in issue form.
- Perform simple repairs, service calls, and troubleshooting over the phone.
- Travel up to an hour and a half for daily installations.
- Participate in weekly meetings, contribute and share information, and receive training.
- Help in showroom on various projects requiring technical knowledge/skills.
- 1‑3 years of experience or related trades expertise.
- Knowledge of how to use a drill, saw, and other basic tools.
- G‑suite.
- Clean and professional appearance.
- Clean driving record, active driver’s license, reliable source of transportation.
- Physically able to lift to 50 pounds, climb a ladder.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 20 feet.
- Frequent travel to client homes and commercial sites within assigned territory.
