STAR is partnering with a respected commercial low‑voltage contractor to find an experienced Level III Structured Cabling Technician. This is a high‑impact role ideal for a seasoned technician ready to guide teams, take charge of installation quality, and support major commercial voice / data and fiber projects across North Texas.
Whether you are aiming to grow into a Lead Technician, Foreman, or Project Manager, this opportunity places your expertise at the center of complex, large‑scale network buildouts.

As a Level III Structured Cabling Technician, you will :
- Lead and mentor Helpers, Apprentices, and Level I II Technicians on commercial job sites.
- Install, identify, pull, dress, and label Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform high‑quality copper terminations and assist with fiber work when required.
- Build out, dress, and organize MDF / IDF rooms and supporting infrastructure.
- Utilize test equipment such as 4‑pair testers, TDRs, and OTDRs with proficiency.
- Interpret prints, schematics, and project documentation with minimal supervision.
- Ensure work meets industry standards and best practices at all times.
Successful candidates typically have :
- 4+ years of commercial structured cabling experience.
- Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards.
- Ability to install cabling systems and support infrastructure independently.
- Experience leading or assisting with crew coordination.
- Proficiency with test equipment for copper and fiber verification.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and professional craftsmanship.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license.
- Availability to work days, nights, or weekends as project needs require.
