Certified Electrician for Telecommunications Projects

OFG a leading telecommunications North Central Region of the US, is seeking a skilled Certified Electrician to join our team for telecommunications projects.

We are seeking an experienced Texas Licensed Electrician with a strong background in telecommunications to serve as an Electrical Construction Manager. A valid Texas electrical license is mandatory for this position. The ideal candidate will manage electrical and telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with state regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.

• Perform electrical installations for telecommunications equipment, including power plant, batteries, and backup systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local safety codes.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct testing and diagnostics on power systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Certification:
  Valid Journeyman Electrician certification or Texas Electrical Contractor License (preferred).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 1 year in telecommunications or low-voltage systems.
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in fiber optic cabling, Cat5/Cat6 wiring, and telecommunications equipment installation. Knowledge of PLCs and high-voltage systems is a plus.
• Training:
  Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship or equivalent training program preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Valid driver’s license; OSHA 10 or higher certification preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift 50 lbs, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
