Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician with expertise in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, with a strong focus on working with conduit pipe and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial construction projects.
  • Work with various types of conduit pipe, including EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform wiring, grounding, and panel installations according to code requirements.
  • Test electrical systems and components for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license. (Varies by State)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • Extensive experience working with conduit pipe and electrical installations.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background check.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, lighting controls, and emergency power systems.
  • Ability to operate power tools and testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
