Job Description & How to Apply Below
Role Overview

As a Software Engineer III, you will play a key role in building and scaling Care Devi’s core platform. This is a product-oriented engineering role, not a ticket-driven one. You will help shape solutions from early problem definition through implementation, deployment, and iteration.

You’ll be expected to take ownership of features, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product and design partners—all while remaining hands-on in a production environment.

What You’ll Work On

Key responsibilities and daily tasks

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems that power Care Devi’s platform

Own features end-to-end, from technical design to deployment and continuous improvement

Partner closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into high-quality technical solutions

Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability

Contribute to system architecture, engineering standards, and best practices

Improve reliability, performance, and security across the platform

Work with healthcare and wellness data responsibly, following privacy and security best practices

Who You Are

Skills and qualifications we're looking for

Must Haves
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong production experience with either Node.js and React, or Python for APIs, backend services, or data workflows
  • Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS (e.g., ECS or Lambda, RDS or DynamoDB, S3)
  • Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, and distributed systems
  • Strong product-oriented mindset—ability to understand user problems and design solutions, not just implement requirements
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product and design teams
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
What You’ll Gain

Perks and learning opportunities

  • 1 Opportunity to build products that meaningfully improve healthcare access and experience
  • 2 High ownership and influence over both product and technical direction
  • 3 Collaborative, mission-driven team environment
  • 4 Unlimited paid time off (PTO) with a culture that values trust, flexibility, and long-term sustainability
  • 5 Significant growth opportunities as the platform and company scale
