Route Sales Representative

As a Route Sales Representative, you will be in charge of all daily aspects of the order fulfillment requirements for this north Texas-based direct farm to consumer meat business. Driving the Born & Raised delivery truck, on a pre-established route, you will be the face of Born & Raised to our customers. Born & Raised was founded on the belief that consumers should eat locally raised meats that have lived a healthy and free life.

No experience necessary, we will train you! The right candidate will become knowledgeable about the full product line of Born & Raised, and able to effectively market products to existing and prospective customers.

Position can be Full-Time for the right candidate. Deliveries are made 3-days per week Monday - Friday. Saturday’s and Sunday’s are dedicated to marketing Born & Raised products at a local farmers market in Frisco, TX.

• Loading and unloading frozen meat products onto delivery vehicle
• Delivering products to customers within specified time frame
• Delivering products to retail locations and maintaining product appearance and organization
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and reporting any issues or discrepancies
• Communicating with customers and answering any questions or concerns
• Recommend favorite products and offer options to help meet customer needs
• Maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicle
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Setting up and breaking down farmers market booth
• Maintaining product freshness and appearance
• Keeping accurate records of sales and stock
• Handling cash and card transactions

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL is NOT a required)
• Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes of frozen meat products
• Knowledge of roads, routes, and navigation
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
• Proficient with smartphone and GPS applications

• Frequent lifting of heavy boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing, bending, and twisting for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a refrigerated cold storage for extended periods
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test

• Early morning or evening deliveries
• Weekend work required
• Work in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) while servicing our customers
• You will be trained on and expected to apply safe practices while servicing customers and operating the company vehicle. This includes adherence to traffic laws, safe operating practices, company policies, standards, Department of Transportation regulations and requirements and any other program requirements.
