IT Technician

IT Technician - Office based - £30-32k A growing UK-based organisation is seeking an IT Technician to join its team at head office. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity for a motivated and capable individual to take ownership of IT operations and help shape the future direction of the organisations IT and security environment.

The Role Working closely with senior management, the IT Technician will play a key role in implementing and developing the companys IT and security policies. The successful candidate will not only implement agreed IT initiatives but will also be expected to provide ideas, challenge existing processes, and drive continuous improvement in IT capability, security, and resilience. Key Objectives Work with the external IT support provider to maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware Track, manage, and maintain hardware and software inventories Document external IT systems and access control systems Ensure the business IT infrastructure operates efficiently and makes best use of technological advancements
