Customer Accounts Advisor - 12 months fixed term contract

Is excellent customer service really important to you, if so why not considering joining us as a Customer Accounts Advisor for a 12 month fixed term contract. You'll really be able to make a difference in our Somerset team byhelping customers manage their accounts by providing guidance, resolving queries and helping them access the right support.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside our Customer Accounts Officers, you'll support the day to day management of customer accounts by handling low level rent arrears, garage and recharge debts, customer refunds and housing benefit over payments. You'll also work with local authorities to update housing benefit entitlements and process any over payments.

You'll communicate with customers by phone, email, letter, text and in person, taking the time to understand their circumstances, answer account queries and signpost them to additional support where needed. You'll also ensure customer information is kept accurate and up to date on our systems.

About you

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. You'll build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and external agencies.

You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and be confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, while also managing your own workload effectively.

You'll need a flexible approach to meet the needs of our customers, including local and regional travel. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes are essential.

The Competence and Conduct Standard introduce a sector-wide, outcome-based framework for those working in social housing in England, while also requiring senior professionals who deliver social housing services to gain, or work towards, a housing management qualification
