Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist educational setting in Frome (BA11) that provides a highly personalised learning environment for students with autism and complex learning needs. The school is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and structured setting where every young person is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to succeed through a culture of respect, resilience and teamwork.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Qualified Teacher (QTS) on a temporary basis from September. The successful Qualified Teacher (QTS) will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs, working closely with teaching assistants and the wider staff team to promote academic achievement, emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes for every student.

The successful Qualified Teacher (QTS) will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching children or young people with autism, SEND and/or complex learning needs

• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills

• The ability to plan, adapt and deliver creative lessons that meet individual learning needs

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, caring and flexible approach to supporting students
