Protocol Education are working with a welcoming secondary academy in Somerset (near the Frome area) to recruit a Music & Music Technology Teacher for September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QTS Music specialist with strong Music Technology experience
, with the school particularly keen to find someone who can deliver Music Technology at GCSE and A Level. The role can be considered on a full-time or part-time basis, with temporary and permanent applicants welcomed.
The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering:
- GCSE Music Technology
- Edexcel - A Level Music Technology
- Edexcel - NCFE Level 2 Music Technology
- Music across KS3 and KS4
- GCSE Music
- A Level Music
- Eq

The Ideal Candidate
The school is ideally looking for a QTS-qualified Music Teacher with a strong understanding of Music Technology and experience teaching at GCSE and/or A Level.
However,
unqualified candidates with relevant and substantial teaching experience may also be considered
.
You will ideally have:
- Experience teaching Music Technology
, particularly at GCSE and/or A Level - Strong subject knowledge across Music and Music Technology
- The ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3-KS5
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to supporting students' progress and confidence in the subject
- The flexibility to consider either full-time or part-time work
- Teacher M Scale pay, up to M6
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Temporary or permanent positions considered
- Opportunity to teach Music Technology through KS5

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
