Protocol Education are working with a welcoming secondary academy in Somerset (near the Frome area) to recruit a Music & Music Technology Teacher for September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QTS Music specialist with strong Music Technology experience
, with the school particularly keen to find someone who can deliver Music Technology at GCSE and A Level. The role can be considered on a full-time or part-time basis, with temporary and permanent applicants welcomed.

The Role

The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering:

  • GCSE Music Technology
    - Edexcel
  • A Level Music Technology
    - Edexcel
  • NCFE Level 2 Music Technology
  • Music across KS3 and KS4
  • GCSE Music
  • A Level Music
    - Eq

The Ideal Candidate

The school is ideally looking for a QTS-qualified Music Teacher with a strong understanding of Music Technology and experience teaching at GCSE and/or A Level.

However,
unqualified candidates with relevant and substantial teaching experience may also be considered
.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience teaching Music Technology
    , particularly at GCSE and/or A Level
  • Strong subject knowledge across Music and Music Technology
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3-KS5
  • Good classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to supporting students' progress and confidence in the subject
  • The flexibility to consider either full-time or part-time work
