Operations Associate – Shipping/Receiving (Night Shift)
Base payrate is $20/HR based on experience.
This is a night shift opportunity.
Provide clerical support to the operations department. Perform all duties safely, accurately, and meet set goals and expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain accurate files and filing systems for operations documentation and other miscellaneous documents.
- Enter accurate information into the computer to prepare reports and copy information from one record to another.
- Prepare requisitions for office, computer, and routine supply purchases.
- Research, track, and resolve (or refer) documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with company personnel and management.
- Ensure all Hazmat paperwork is accurate and prepared for drivers and include proper placards.
- Coordinate with yard jockeys to place Hazmat placards on trailers.
- Manage radio battery change appointments for warehouse personnel.
- Download, print, and attach TTR reports for inbound loads, and save copies to the network drive.
- Communicate temp abuse loads to the supervisor and coordinate inspection of suspected loads.
- Forward temp abuse forms, photos, and TTR reports to the RDC Claims Coordinator.
- Coordinate moving pallet trailers to dock doors for unloading and reloading.
- Relay trailer issues to yard jockeys via radio.
- Send emails to the Shipment Move-DL group for unbilled requests, BOL requests, and PO removal.
- Print the Scheduled Appointments Report to guide daily inbound appointments.
- Task “drop” inbound appointments via SWMS to yard jockeys for dock door transport.
- Compile vendor compliance issues and send them to the Supplier Compliance Specialist.
- Note damages on OS&Ds, photograph damaged product, and post photos to the Supplier Compliance folder.
- Print receiver paperwork for completion and signing.
- Prepare shift start-up paperwork, including re-palletization worksheets and outbound trailer loading reports.
- Schedule dock doors for the following workday.
- Assign and release outbound loads via SWMS Route Manager.
- Use Microsoft Teams to review the Schedule Live Outbound report for daily outbound live appointments.
- Check outbound loads to ensure trailer weight, dock door, and paperwork match.
- Scan outbound load documents to the carrier and guard shack.
- Enter UUC data into the UUC database and scan paperwork to the UUC/freight forwarding database drive.
- Ensure all outbound UUC freight paperwork is completed accurately.
- Keep the work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Report any unsafe issues to the supervisor.
- Observe and enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Use computer and office equipment safely and professionally.
- Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (attendance, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Associate Handbook, etc.).
- Support food safety policies, SOPs, and prerequisite food safety control programs that meet legal and quality requirements.
- Comply with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies (OSHA, HACCP, etc.).
- Accept additional responsibilities or special projects as requested. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Pass a functional capacity test.
- Proficient experience and skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and successfully complete Microsoft skill level assessment testing.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED preferred, or one‑year related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic math skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Language SkillsRead and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Read and write simple correspondence. Speak effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations. Communicate effectively with co‑workers, visitors, and outside contractors.
Mathematical SkillsAdd, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
