OSP Field Inspector - Fiber Construction

Tek Com Resources is seeking an experienced OSP Field Inspector to support broadband and fiber construction projects throughout Virginia. This field-based role involves monitoring subcontractor activities, inspecting construction quality, and ensuring work meets project specifications, safety standards, and scheduled deadlines.

• Conduct field inspections of OSP construction, including excavation, directional boring, hand-hole placement, fiber installation, and restoration.
• Monitor subcontractor crews to ensure work meets construction plans, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to verify accurate installation.
• Inspect underground and aerial fiber construction, grounding, and related infrastructure.
• Document construction progress, inspection results, deficiencies, and site conditions through daily reports and photos.
• Identify construction issues, communicate concerns, and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors and project management.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on construction progress, quality, and potential delays.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications preferred.
• Experience in OSP telecommunications or fiber construction, inspection, or QA/QC.
• Knowledge of underground and/or aerial construction methods, including excavation, boring, cable placement, and restoration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel between job sites.
• Valid driver's license required.
