DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will provide direct patient care in an outpatient dialysis center. The role is an entry-level position with paid, extensive training, and the opportunity to advance through the company’s Clinical Ladders program.

Details About This Position
  • No dialysis experience is required.
  • Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic.
  • Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training.
  • You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You Can Expect
  • Direct patient care: spend the majority of your shift in one‑on‑one patient care providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Technician duties include monitoring patients before, during and after dialysis; measuring and recording vital statistics; and setting up the hemodialysis machine. Exposure to blood and needles is expected.
  • Educate patients about kidney dialysis topics and build long‑term relationships with those on treatment of up to 3 times per week.
  • Work as part of a cross‑functional clinical team (technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, leadership) under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements
  • Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for people in need.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Comfortable mixing acid or bicarbonate solutions.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet, and wear comfortable shoes.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus (e.g., BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy certification).
