VA Security Officer

Job Description

Garda World Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to serve in environments such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. The role requires a sharp eye and detailed observation skills to detect threats before they escalate.

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property

• High school education or equivalent (GED)
• At least 2 years of Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
• Active Virginia DCJS security license
• Minimum age 21 years, per law or contract
• Ability to use Microsoft or Google applications and security systems, including incident/DAR reports

• Competitive hourly wage starting at $22.00 per hour (Daily Pay available)

• Walk or stand for 8+ hours; work mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and on‑call hours as needed; schedule varies by site
