We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team in providing quality care to residents.

• Reports directly to the Director of Nursing and covering when the Director of Nursing is not in the facility
• Creates a safe, healthy work environment that supports delivery of high-quality resident care
• Creates a culture where highly engaged team members are able to contribute to the best in resident care and to grow professionally
• Assures the best resident care by supervising and directing Nursing Personnel
• Serves as a liaison for all nursing staff and nurse management
• Makes decisions regarding nursing and unit problems
• Participates in facility surveys
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and resident’s families
• Other duties as assigned

• A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse/RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred
• Experience with Infection Control and Prevention preferred
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
• Experience in Gerontology preferred
