Quality Inspector for Fruita, CO

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing screw machine shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. You will work closely with production teams to implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and document findings to ensure compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of screw machine components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings and deviations.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct audits of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Report any non-conformances and work with the team to resolve issues effectively.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in screw machining.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
