What does a Production Maintenance Technician do at Swire Coca-Cola?

In the production plant, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general facility maintenance. The production environment is operational 24/7, so the technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, disassembling and troubleshooting complex equipment in charge of production processes. There are high‑speed automated production machinery and other manufacturing equipment.

Job Details

Schedule:

6:00pm - 6:30am (rotating schedule - 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off, OT as needed)

Job Level: 2

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to production lines by troubleshooting failures and other issues and making necessary repairs to production and facility equipment to maximize efficiencies
  • Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks through SAP
  • Participate in rebuilds and overhauls on production line and support equipment
  • Assist with parts management by ensuring parts are checked out of stock and communicating any deficiencies to the Parts Planner
  • Provide consistent communication with fellow maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
  • Support the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) process by participating in established routines with production operators and following up on top causes of downtime
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow established safety, quality and environmental policies, practices, and programs
  • Operate with technical skill the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management system. This is for inventory and production line operational excellence
  • Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance
  • Install new equipment as necessary and provide technical expertise to train and support production with a continued desire for lean supply chain process initiatives and improvement
  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
  • Quality reviews of equipment assigned to maintain safety and performance standards
Requirements:
  • Trade School certified preferred
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
