We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining records, preparing reports and more. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting. The Accountant should have excellent problem solving skills, be highly organized and have excellent communication skills.

• Prepare financial statements, reports and records by using manual or computerized bookkeeping systems
• Reconcile accounts by identifying discrepancies in financial entries
• Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling entries
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements; posting accounts payable; monitoring accounts receivable
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting data from various sources
• Monitor budget performance against actual results
• Answer accounting procedure questions from internal staff members

• Balance accounts according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Prepare quarterly or annual tax returns with the assistance of a certified public accountant (CPA) or external accountants
• Update internal accounting processes as needed to ensure accuracy in reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Previous experience working in an accounting role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
