Data Entry Operator

- Support daily operational and administrative functions within the shipping agency by accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining shipment, cargo, and client data
- Enter and update shipment, cargo, and client data into internal systems and databases accurately and on time
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry; identify and correct discrepancies
- Maintain and organize digital and physical records related to bookings, bills of lading, invoices, and manifests
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, and customer service teams to gather and confirm data
- Generate reports and summaries from entered data as required by management
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive company and client information
- Handle data entry for vendor and customer master files, rate sheets, and container/vessel schedules
- Support month-end and periodic reconciliation of records
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and data entry software
- Familiarity with shipping/logistics ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong, accurate typing/keyboarding skills
- Basic knowledge of shipping documentation (B/L, manifests, invoices)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, in English (Arabic a plus)
- Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage high-volume data with minimal errors
- Basic computer/data entry certification is an advantage
