Location: Fujairah City
Job Summary
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Safety / HSE Officer to independently manage all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) activities at its cement plant construction project. The candidate will oversee safety compliance across civil, mechanical, electrical, construction, erection and commissioning activities performed by multiple contractors, ensuring adherence to applicable HSE standards and site safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage all day-to-day HSE activities and safety requirements at the project site
- Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements and applicable safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety inductions and regular safety audits.
- Ensure safe working practices for high-rise civil structures, work at height, heavy equipment, lifting operations, electrical works and mechanical erection.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, implement corrective actions and maintain HSE documentation and reports.
- Coordinate with contractors and project teams to address safety issues and prevent accidents.
- Report directly to the GM – Project and ensure that all site activities are carried out safely.
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in large-scale construction projects.
- Proven experience in high-rise building structures and industrial construction projects.
- Relevant HSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent recognized certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety, contractor management, risk assessment and accident prevention.
- Ability to independently handle all HSE responsibilities at a multi-contractor project site.
- Hindi-speaking ability will be an added advantage.
- Must be willing to relocate to Al Tawyeen, Fujairah, and available for immediate joining.
- Monthly salary: AED 5,000–6,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
