Librarian job in El-Fujairah UAE for unskilled worker

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in El-Fujairah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, providing knowledgeable assistance to patrons, and helping to maintain a safe and efficient library environment.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including circulation services, cataloging, acquisitions, reference services, and shelving.
• Maintain accurate records of library materials in circulation and available for checkout.
• Provide accurate and knowledgeable assistance to patrons in locating materials or finding information.
• Prepare and maintain displays of material for special events or promotions.
• Ensure adherence to library policies and procedures.
• Monitor use of library facilities and equipment; report any problems or abuse to management.
• Participate in the selection of new materials for the library collection.
• Prepare reports on library activities as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience working in a library setting preferred; experience working with a diverse population is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to provide reference services or help patrons locate materials efficiently and accurately.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications; knowledge of automated library systems preferred.

Salary: 1200 AED per month (negotiable). We are prepared to consider an immigrant with valid work permit if required.
