We are looking for a Librarian to join our team at Dibba-El-Fujairah.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library records as well as providing information and support to library patrons.
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience working in a library setting and be knowledgeable about library services, procedures and systems. The ability to communicate effectively with patrons of all ages and backgrounds is essential in order to provide the highest level of customer service. They should also possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of copyright laws.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing, cataloging and maintaining library materials
- Assisting patrons with locating resources or utilizing library services
- Responding to patron inquiries regarding library policies or procedures
- Staying up-to date on new developments in the field, including current trends in literature
- Developing creative programming such as book clubs or author talks
- Developing reader’s advisory services to assist patrons with finding reading materials that meet their interests or needs
- Preparing reports on circulation statistics or other related data
- Supervising volunteers in performing their duties
- Maintaining accurate records such as circulation logs, overdue materials lists, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with copyright laws when creating digital content for the library’s website or social media outlets
The position offers a salary of 1000 AED per month and we are ready to consider an immigrant for this vacancy.
