Job Summary
The Civil Inspector – QC (Shutdown) is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring the quality and compliance of civil works executed during shutdown activities. The role ensures that all civil construction, repair, and maintenance works meet approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project schedules within shutdown timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities- Inspect civil works during shutdown activities including concrete repair, grouting, foundations, structural works, and finishing
- Ensure work execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality standards
- Monitor workmanship, material quality, and construction methods on site
- Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and QC teams to resolve quality issues
- Conduct inspections, record observations, and raise NCRs where required
- Ensure adherence to HSE requirements during shutdown execution
- Verify completion of work and support final inspection and handover activities
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Civil QC Inspector, preferably in shutdown or turnaround projects
- Strong knowledge of civil construction standards, codes, and inspection practices
- Experience working in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects
- Familiarity with ITPs, drawings, and quality documentation
