Job Role: HSE Officer

Location: Fujairah, UAE

Salary: AED 4,000/month

Experience: 2–3 years of experience

Qualification: NEBOSH Certified

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer to support Health, Safety & Environmental operations with one of our client in Fujairah. The role is responsible for ensuring safe working practices, compliance with HSE standards, and maintaining a safe environment for employees, contractors, and site operations within the waste recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at the site.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and identify unsafe conditions/acts.
  • Perform risk assessments (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure safe handling, segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness training.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Support Permit to Work (PTW) systems including hot work, confined space, and work at height activities.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and prepare reports with preventive actions.
  • Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in emergency response activities, fire drills, and safety exercises.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations and company environmental requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an HSE Officer in waste management, recycling, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.
  • NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
  • Familiarity with environmental and waste handling practices.
  • Good knowledge of PPE, emergency procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
