Thermal Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries, technical specifications, and tender documentation for HRSG projects.
• Identify non-standard requirements, technical deviations, and project-specific constraints.
• Analyze customer heat balances and process data.
• Perform preliminary thermal design and sizing of HRSG heat exchange sections during the budget stage.
• Prepare thermal calculations, sizing reports, and basic technical datasheets.
• Support the preparation of budgetary technical proposals and clarifications.
• Provide technical front-desk support to customers through written correspondence during the tendering phase.
• Interface with Business Development, Sales, and the Italian Basic Engineering organization to develop optimized technical solutions.

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, or equivalent.
• Solid academic background in thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• 2–5 years of experience is preferred, but motivated candidates with a strong thermal engineering background will also be considered.
• Previous experience in thermal/process engineering, power generation, HRSGs, boilers, or related energy systems is appreciated.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and process documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Willingness to learn and use internal thermal calculation tools and engineering procedures.
