Your Day to Day:

As an Engineering Supervisor you are responsible to assure implementation of all hotel policies, standards and procedures for Energy Conservation & Control, Fire prevention and other life safety programs and Effective Preventive and routine maintenance of all Refrigeration & HVAC Plant/Equipment. Supports the Asst Chief Engineer/Chief Engineer to organize, motivate, control and handle staff of the department. Reports to the Asst Chief Engineer/Chief Engineer, coordinates and liaises/follows-up with service companies during equipment breakdown.

Some of main responsibilities are:

• Participates in the departmental budget execution and control of expenses with a focus onenergy management & preventive maintenance, as tasked.
• Supervises general contractor and subcontractors directly, to ensure quality work is performedcost effectively.
• Recommends or arranges foradditionalservices such as painting, repair work, renovations, andthe replacement of furnishings and equipment, as required.
• Directly plans for and oversees purchases of spare parts, suppliesetcneeded for smooth operation.
• Drives theday to dayfloor operations of the Engineering department.
• Prepares preventive maintenance schedule & distributes the work to subordinates according totheir capabilities to get the best results
• Ensures that the work done by subordinates are according to the specified standard
• Implement energy conservation activities/initiatives for the property, as assigned
• Participate in ongoing inspection of Plant and equipment conditions todeterminethe type of maintenance work required.
• Implement the Fire Life Safety (FLS) program activities of the department, as tasked.
• responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of installing,repairingandinspecting Refrigeration & HVAC equipment, for compliance with local and approved codes andcompany standards.
• Directly supervises line tradespersons in the department including contractors.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Holding a diploma or vocational certificate in Mechanical/RAC engineering
• Previousexperiences in a similar role
• Proven knowledge in developing and implementing Mechanical procedures.
• A good command of English

Ability to find fault and rectify mechanical systems essentials.
