Production Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the Production Department
• Overall responsibility for the Facility Maintenance Team and A C Maintenance Team
• Complete supervision of production plants and manpower management
• Planning and achieving production targets as per the annual budget
• Managing day to day activities and operational issues of the Production Department Facility Team and A C Maintenance Team
• Ensuring that finished products meet the relevant quality standards
• Providing regular feedback to the General Manager regarding activities inside the factory
• Preparation of the annual production budget
• Monitoring the routine duties of Production Engineers Supervisors and Operations Staff
• Coordinating with the Sales Department for proper production planning
• Coordinating with the Purchase Department for procurement of spare parts
• Coordinating with the Stores Department for availability of spare parts
• Ensuring complete maintenance of production machinery to achieve optimum output
• Managing general maintenance activities within the factory
• Planning and scheduling maintenance activities for production machinery and production fleet
• Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance for production machinery and production fleet
• Forecasting spare parts requirements for preventive maintenance of machinery
• Attending to breakdowns in production machinery and ensuring timely resolution
• Ensuring availability of all spare parts required for maintenance of production machinery
• Coordinating with the Crusher Department for proper supply of raw materials
• Ensuring that proper safety procedures are followed inside the factory

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or a related technical field
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification will be an added advantage

• Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete products manufacturing
• Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within the concrete manufacturing industry
• In depth knowledge of concrete processing machinery and complete production lines
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse factory team
• Excellent problem solving and quick decision making skills under pressure
