Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boatswain to join our team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Boatswain, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the ship, ensuring the safety of all crew members and passengers.
Responsibilities- Oversee and supervise all deck crew activities, including loading and unloading cargo, handling lines, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain and repair ship equipment, including ropes, winches, and lifeboats.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure smooth operation of the ship.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities and report any issues to the Captain.
- Train new crew members in proper safety procedures and techniques.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Boatswain on a commercial vessel.
- Fluency in English is essential for communication with other crew members.
- Must have own valid visa to work in UAE.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve quickly.
