Second Mate

Second Mate - Maritime Position in El-Fujairah, UAE

A qualified Second Mate is needed to join our maritime team. As a Second Mate, you will assist the Captain and Chief Officer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. • Assist the Captain and Chief Officer in navigating and maneuvering the vessel
• Oversee cargo operations, including loading and unloading
• Maintain safety and security of the vessel and all crew members
• Keep accurate records of all activities, including navigational data, weather conditions, and crew hours worked
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all crew members are trained on emergency procedures
• Adhere to all international maritime laws and regulations

• Valid Second Mate license issued by an accredited maritime authority
• At least 2 years of experience as a Second Mate on similar vessels
• Strong knowledge of navigational systems and equipment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English proficiency is preferred but not required)
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
