we welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- web or mobile application programming
- cybersecurity
- cloud computing
- high performance computing
- computer graphics
- computer networks
- machine intelligence
- bioinformatics
- programming languages and compilers
- algorithms
- operating systems
- software engineering
appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
required qualifications
- ms degree in computer science or closely related field, or bs degree in computer science or closely related field with at least 2 years industry experience in computer science field, and demonstrable experience in the appropriate field.
- ideal candidates will be able to document their excellent academic preparation in computer science or closely related field along with current experience in industry
- proficiency in online teaching strategies
- candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level
- candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
- a ph.d. In computer science or related field
- preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities
