the department of kinesiology at csu fullerton invites applications for its part-time lecturer pool.

we welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:

anatomy and physiology

athletic training

biomechanics

exercise physiology

fitness

gerokinesiology

legal and ethical issues in kinesiology

motor control and learning

recreation and physical activity promotion

sport and exercise psychology

strength & conditioning

teacher education

this is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

required qualifications

a master's degree in kinesiology or related field or equivalent experience.

candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level.

candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

k through 12 (teacher education) and/or university-level teaching experience in kinesiology

the ability to communicate effectively and work with a culturally and ethnically diverse student population

demonstrated ability/potential to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate education to a diverse student population, including first-generation and under-represented college students

record of scholarship in their respective area of specialization

a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and/or service.

preferred qualifications

preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment

preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience

college-level teaching experience in the discipline of kinesiology

for athletic training classes; current athletic trainer certification

for teacher education classes; k through 12 teaching experience
